Summer Running

Wow.

One year anniversary.  Done.  (And me without my kazoo...)

Lots of things have happened over the past year, and looking back, it's nice to know that we've chronicled it all SOMEWHERE -- even if it is on a ridiculously pink blog.  (I do remember thinking at the beginning of bloggerdom, "Pink will work.  Pink is a wedding color, right?")

Matt and I are headed back to work after a full summer of a lot of nothing.  To be honest, this was our first real summer of relaxation: no moving across the country, no planning and funding a wedding, no absolute-set-in-stone-from-the-beginning-of-whenever travel plans.  It feels... good.

(I should take this time to apologize for the lack of photos in this post.  I have a new laptop and I haven't figured out how to get the little external hard-drivey thingy to transfer my photos into iPhoto.  Oy.)

And then I realize how very fortunate we are to have had all this time to spend together!  Most couples don't really have that opportunity, unless... well... unless they're both teachers like we are.  And even then, there's grad school, summer school, professional development... kids...

We didn't do ANY of that this year.  (So lucky.  I know.)

So.  The question remains: what would YOU do if you had an ENTIRE summer (June 4 through August 23) to do whatever it was you wanted to do?
