While the countdown on the website for our wedding guests mocks me with its counting (30 days... 29 days... 28 days until our wedding? That can't be right!? Who asked you to COUNT, Website???), here's some of what I've/we've accomplished thus far in terms of procrastination. Er. Planning.
1) Bought wedding bands. Matt was really sold on titanium bands, and we couldn't find any locally. (Plus, the jewelers kept telling us that a titanium ring can't be cut off in an emergency. To which I said, "How do they make them in the first place, then?") On a tip from our friend, Emily, we decided to check out an Etsy store called TitaniumKnights. They're AWESOME! We ordered them Friday night, and our rings are already made and being shipped to us. Kudos, TitaniumKnights. If you weren't already knighted, we would knight you.
2) Started a playlist (or three) for some dance-able reception music. While any suggestions are still welcome, I will tell you that we found what was possibly the only polka album in the entire city in the library. I'm stoked.
3) Completed boutonnieres and (most of) the flowers for wedding party and family. Ingredients for said flowers included watercolor paper, watercolor paint, pins, hot glue, ribbon, and some unscented hairspray. Oh. And bottle caps. Can't forget the bottle caps.
Excuse the blurry photo. Our cat thinks these are real and wants to eat them.
He doesn't seem to care if he knocks over the photographer in the process.
The colorful ones above are for the groomsmen. Each man has his own distinct beer bottle cap.
So. There you have it. There's at least a million more things that probably have to be done. But we're at least moving onward and upward and leftward and rightward and all that.
Keep the comments and support for the donors rollin' in. And if the occasional donation happens to come our way, we'll slap up a happy ad for you on these pink, pink pages.
