Pittsburgh comedian Gab Bonesso has this great joke about the word "surreal." I won't repeat it here -- mainly because it's her joke (not mine) and I'd probably mess up the punch line anyway. But the general gist of it is that people use the word "surreal" incorrectly.
I agree.
I only mention that because I'm about to use the word "surreal" incorrectly, and I wanted all of you to understand that I realize what I'm doing. Don't panic.
